As Minnesota’s only LGBTQ+ masters swim team, our mission is to provide a safe, affirming community for LGBTQ+ athletes, promoting health and fitness through swimming in the Twin Cities area.

Our vision is to become the premier LGBTQ+ swim club in the United States, where all LGBTQ+ athletes are able to cultivate a life-long passion for the sport of swimming.

OUR NAME AND HERITAGE

As an LGBTQ+ organization, our identity is rooted in inclusion, community, and mutual support. For over three decades, the name ICE has stood for the warmth, safety, and camaraderie our athletes find in the water. We recognize that the acronym shares letters with a federal agency whose actions and ideology do not reflect our values, The team has chosen not to change our name in order to honor our history dating back to the 1990s. We firmly stand in support of our immigrant communities in the Twin Cities and Minnesota and remain dedicated to ensuring our team is a welcoming, safe, and affirming space for everyone.
